Dark-Eyed Junco Dads Feed Their Babies

Our Research Annex at LMU is a gathering place for not only students studying nature, but nature itself! Earlier this month CURes staff and a student were delighted to witness a Dark-Eyed Junco (aka Oregon Junco) feeding his fledglings.

Who says Dads don’t help out?!  In the bird world, depending upon the species – they do!

In honor of Father’s Day, we are sharing with you a little bit of heaven, as our resident Juncos live and thrive on the LMU Campus, with a little help from their friends – CURes staff!
