The second installation of the 2017-18 LMU Environmental Lecture Series will be held on October 16th at 4:30pm in LMU’s Ahmanson Auditorium, University Hall 1000. The talk is titled “Global Climate Change, Food, Health, and Sustainability,” given by Cristina Tirado (LMU Environmental Science). Tirado is a moderator for the United Nations Standing Committee on Nutrition’s Working Group on Climate Change and Nutrition and part of UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. Additionally, she was previously the Director of the Center for Public Health and Climate Change at the Public Health Institute, and a Regional Advisor for the World Health Organization.
